Most of the time students are get confused when they find the three topic that is error,defect and fault here i simplify these concept hope you will get a better understanding of this.
Error: error is any mistake by developer it can be syntax error in code or logical error or misunderstanding of requirements.
Defect:error that is found after the software is shiped to client are usually called is defect.
Fault:fault is the impact of error it is usually called is any unexpected step of the program.
